How long does it take you to ship out an order?
We are dedicated to shipping all orders we receive as fast as possible. We usually ship all orders within 48 hours but we usually claim 2-5 business days just to be safe.

Do you charge for handling fees?
We do charge handling fees for small orders. There is a $3 small order handling fee for orders under $40. There is NO handling fee for orders above $40.

What happens if an item is damaged or non functional?
If an item is not working properly, for example a radio or a flashlight, we will ship a new item to the customer and pay for the return shipping. The customer will just need to email returns@kitsforsurvival.com letting us know exactly what the problem is and follow the product return instructions below. All claims must be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date.
If an item has been damaged through shipping, they will need to contact UPS and let them know of the problem. Shipping insurance is available through the order screen. The first $100 of value for insurance is free.

What happens if an item is missing from an order?
If an item is missing from the order the customer will need to let us know within 30 days of the order. We will ship out the missing item directly to the customer for no additional charge. This obviously costs us money to do so we are very careful to avoid these types of mistakes. These occurrences have been extremely rare. 

What are the differences between the Deluxe Survival Kits and the Essentials Survival Kits?
The Kits are basically the same except that the Deluxe Kits includes, an upgrade to an Am/Fm Radio with Headphones and Batteries, Green Emergency Glow Stick, 16-20 Hour Body Warmers, 2-Person Tube Tent with Rope, Leather Palm Working Gloves, 60 Feet of Nylon Rope, and a First Aid Essentials Kit.

How do I return a product?

1. Contact us at returns@kitsforsurvival.com to receive an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. A return shipping address will be given to you with your RMA number. An RMA number is required to process a return. Please write this number down along with a note stating the reason for the return. Returns without authorization are subject to refusal. 

2. Carefully package the product in the manufacturers' original packaging, making sure to include all products (except food and water products) and paperwork. Food and water products cannot be returned to be re-sold according to law, therefore refunds for food and water products will not be issued.   

3. Return the product via UPS or other insured shipping provider. It is recommended that you insure the package as KitsForSurvival.com is not responsible for loss or damage to merchandise that is being returned. Please insure the package for your purchase price. Returned products will be shipped at customers' expense. FREE shipping insurance does not apply to returns.

4. Place a shipping label on the box and return the product to the address given to you when you received your RMA number. Please remember to include your RMA number along with a note stating the reason for the return.  After the returned products have been received, please allow 4-6 weeks for your account to be credited.

Why do I need a Survival Kit?
Survival Kits will sustain you and your loved ones the first hours and days after a disaster strikes when basic necessities such as water, food, electricity, and medical assistance have been lost.

Why do I need a Survival Kit NOW?
Would you go out and purchase a fire extinguisher when you see a fire spreading in your home? Off course you wouldn't. An 
Emergency Survival Kit is the same way. You need to purchase a survival kit before a Category 5 Hurricane starts to head your way!

How long do your Survival Kits last when used during a disaster?
Emergency Survival Kits are designed to provide basic necessities such as
water, food, and shelter, for approximately 72 hours or 3 days after a disaster.

What is the shelf life of your food and water products?
Aqua Blox and Food Bars have a 5yr shelf life.

What guidelines do you follow in creating your Survival Kits?
Our Emergency Survival Kits are produced following recommendations from the U.S. Coast Guard, F.E.M.A, and the Red Cross.

Why can't I return food and water products?
Food and water products cannot be returned, to be re-sold according to law, therefore refunds for food and water products will not be issued.

Why do Government and Volunteer Services take so long to respond after a disaster?
Government and Volunteer Services will be working around the clock, but realistically, it takes time to effectively organize and deploy response teams. The larger the scale of the disaster, the longer the response time will be.
